Shortcomings in the Use of the ADAMS System Discussed
Today, the National Anti-Doping Agency of Uzbekistan held a meeting to address shortcomings in the submission of data to the ADAMS system (Anti-Doping Administration and Management System) and the consequences of such issues. The meeting was attended by leaders of the Ministry of Sports, the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, the National Anti-Doping Agency, and responsible representatives of sports federations.
The discussions focused on cases of inaccurate or delayed use of the ADAMS system, particularly errors in providing athlete whereabouts, and how such violations negatively impact the doping control process both during and outside of competitions.
Officials stressed that athletes and their coaches lack sufficient knowledge and practical skills in working with the system, which poses a serious risk to their participation in international competitions.
