WKF Asian Karate Championship Kicks Off in Tashkent
The 21st WKF Asian Karate Championship officially began today in the capital city of Tashkent, marked by a grand opening ceremony just moments ago. The event welcomed top officials from the Asian Karate Federation, the Ministry of Sports, the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, and the country’s Karate Association.
Notably, the championship also features para-athletes competing for the prestigious title of Asian champion. During the ceremony, officials highlighted karate’s growing popularity among Uzbekistan’s youth and expressed confidence in the national team’s strong performance at the upcoming multi-sport events.
Following the opening ceremony, the day’s decisive matches commenced. Representatives of the Uzbek national team have already shown impressive results, fiercely competing for podium finishes.
