On May 17, Uzbekistan will launch a new large-scale sporting initiative titled “Olympic Heights of New Uzbekistan.” In anticipation of the event, the Ministry of Sports hosted a nationwide online coordination meeting today to discuss final preparations for this innovative competition format.

Key topics on the agenda included the organization of regional competitions, the tournament schedule, the readiness of selected sports facilities, and the incentives for winners and prizewinners. Officials emphasized that this tournament marks a new milestone in the development of national sports, aimed at identifying young, talented, and competitive athletes for the national team and further promoting mass participation in sports among the youth.

Regional representatives joined via video conference to review current progress and address outstanding challenges. Concrete instructions were issued to responsible parties to promptly resolve any organizational shortcomings.

During the meeting, a joint resolution was signed between the Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee, affirming a commitment to ensuring the competition is held at the highest level.
