From April 15 to 18, the city of Dammam (Saudi Arabia) hosted the Asian U18 Athletics Championships.
The Uzbekistan national team delivered an outstanding performance, winning 3 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals, and securing second place in the overall team standings.

Today, a special award ceremony was held in honor of the tournament’s heroes, during which monetary prizes were presented to the athletes.
The event was attended by the leadership of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, the Uzbekistan Athletics Federation, athletes, and coaches.

The awards were presented by Akmaljon Mavlonov, Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and President of the Uzbekistan Athletics Federation, along with Otabek Umarov, First Vice President of the NOC.

It is worth noting that the Uzbekistan Athletics Championships for adults and U20 athletes are currently taking place in Tashkent.
During the tournament, officials extended their congratulations to the young champions for their outstanding achievements and expressed their gratitude for their proud representation of Uzbekistan on the international stage.
The young athletes were also wished continued success and many more victories in the future.
