Shooting Sports Facility Reopens After Major Reconstruction
The opening ceremony of the newly renovated shooting sports facility was attended by senior officials from the Ministries of Defense and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National Olympic Committee, as well as coaches and athletes. The entire facility has been modernized and now fully meets international standards.
Notably, a new lighting system with a brightness level of over 500 lux has been installed, ensuring optimal conditions for both training and hosting high-level competitions.
In addition, equipment and gear have been upgraded in accordance with the standards set by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF). These improvements are expected to help athletes perform competitively on the international stage and enhance their chances of securing qualifying spots for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
During the opening ceremony, officials highlighted the strategic importance of this facility in the development of shooting sports in Uzbekistan and emphasized its role in preparing national athletes for World Championships and future Olympic Games.
