Uzbek NOC Leadership Assesses Sports Infrastructure in Andijan Region Focus on athlete training conditions and future development prospects

Today, representatives of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Uzbekistan visited the Andijan region to assess the current state of sports infrastructure and review the operation of various athletic facilities across the region.

As part of the visit, officials inspected fencing halls in the Asaka district and the city of Andijan, the "Bobur Arena" stadium, the regional football academy, and a specialized sports school offering training in team sports and athletics. Special attention was given to the training conditions provided for athletes and the operational efficiency of each venue.

During the visit, the delegation met with local coaches and young athletes to discuss ongoing challenges and opportunities for improvement. A number of issues were reviewed, and proposals were made to help elevate the region’s sports infrastructure to a new level.

Key points of discussion included plans for constructing new youth sports halls, upgrading “Bobur Arena” with a modern athletics track, and enhancing the material and technical base of the region’s field hockey facilities.
