Oybek Kasimov Attends Asia and Oceania Sambo Union Congress
The Asia and Oceania Sambo Championship has officially kicked off in Tashkent, with more than 600 athletes from around 25 countries competing in the event. As part of the championship, the Congress of the Asia and Oceania Sambo Union was also held.
Representing the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov took part in the event. In his speech, Oybek Omilovich emphasized the importance of sambo for national sports and noted that this combat discipline is becoming a part of major multi-sport tournaments.
The Congress also addressed several key issues regarding the Union’s future activities.
