Table tennis coaching seminar kicks off in Tashkent
A seminar for local table tennis coaches has started in the capital. The event, which will run until April 10, is organized with the support of the Olympic Solidarity of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), and the Table Tennis Federation of Uzbekistan.
The sessions are conducted by Mohammad Atum, an expert from the ITTF. During the seminar, he will introduce modern training methodologies, including athlete-centered approaches, optimal workload management, and techniques for psychological preparation ahead of competitions.
The 48-year-old specialist has previously coached the national teams of Jordan and Oman and is currently working in Qatar. From 2020 to 2024, he led the ITTF Development Program, focusing on coach education and global table tennis development initiatives.
The seminar brings together 28 coaches from various regions of Uzbekistan.
