The International Skating Union (ISU) has announced the top athletes of the season, and among them, Uzbekistan's figure skating duo, Dmitriy Chigirev and Yekaterina Geynish, earned the title of "Best Newcomer."

This season marked their first appearance in senior international competitions. Despite being newcomers, they clinched gold at the Harbin 2025 Winter Asian Games and silver at the Canada Grand Prix.

In addition, Chigirev and Geynish placed in the top ten at the World Championships in Boston and qualified for the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
