Thomas Bach noted the holding of the "International Olympic Day" in Uzbekistan

As you know, on June 21-28, in honor of the "International Olympic Day", the Olympic Week was held throughout Uzbekistan, and festive events were organized in many parts of the country. The video, which captures the events held in 15 sports federations and associations of the Republic, was handed over to the President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach. In turn, Bach noted that the holiday in Uzbekistan was held at a high level and sent a letter of thanks to the chairman of the NOC of Uzbekistan:

"Mr. Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov,

I express my great gratitude and deep appreciation
to you for your letter and for sharing with me a video dedicated to the celebration of the Olympic Day in Uzbekistan.

On June 23, 1948, when Olympic Day was proclaimed
to commemorate the revival of the modern Olympic movement
in 1894, its goal was to promote participation in sports around the world, regardless of the age, gender or capabilities of athletes. The Olympic Day is the best opportunity for this.

Regardless of what work you, the National Olympic Committee, as a whole, and the National Federations of Uzbekistan are doing, whether it is a public event or sports competitions, you continue to impress and inspire. Let me thank you for your excellent work, encouraging people to move, learn
and get acquainted with different sports.

We wish you and the Olympic team of your country all the best, and in the meantime, I remain loyal to you."

Sincerely, IOC President Thomas Bach.
