The National Sports Awards 2024 was held at the Museum of Olympic and Paralympic Glory in Tashkent

Today, the ceremony for the "National Sports Award 2024" began at the National Museum of Olympic and Paralympic Glory. The event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees, as well as stars of Uzbek sports, and the results of the past year were announced.

At the beginning of the event, athletes who stood on the podium at adult world championships this year were ceremoniously awarded one-time cash prizes by the President's decision. Following this, the award ceremony took place, revealing the names of the winners in the following nominations:

Best Young Athlete of the Year: Abdulkodir Khusanov (football);

Best Young Para-athlete of the Year: Asadbek Toshtemirov (para taekwondo);

Best National Team in Non-Olympic Sports: Uzbekistan Chess Team;

Best National Team in Non-Paralympic Sports: Uzbekistan Para-Chess Team;

For Long-standing Contributions to Sports Promotion: Lola Abdusupova (director of "Sport" channel);

Most Active Sports Promoter: Nodir Tuychiev;

Best Sports Photojournalist of the Year: Almurat Mamadaminov (UzA);

Best Sports Journalist of the Year: Marina Yakubova (correspondent of "Sport" channel);

Best Sports Doctor of the Year: Diana Sattorova (Republican Scientific-Practical Center for Sports Medicine);

Best Referee of the Year: Zuhra Abdullaeva (weightlifting);

Developing Federation: Uzbekistan Archery Federation;

Organizer of the Best Sports Event of the Year: Uzbekistan Football Association;

Best Sports Federation in the Country: WT Taekwondo Association;

Best Paralympic Team of the Year: Uzbekistan Para-Athletics Team;

Best Team of the Year: Uzbekistan Boxing Team;

Best Para-Coach of the Year: Yahyo Yakubov;

Best Coach of the Year: Tulkin Kilichev;

Athlete Who Won the Hearts of Fans: Sitora Turdibekova (boxing);

Para-Athlete Who Won the Hearts of Fans: Roza Kuzieva (para-powerlifting);

Best Female Para-Athlete of the Year: Nurkhon Kurbonova (para-athletics);

Best Female Athlete of the Year: Diyora Keldieva (judo);

Discovery of the Year: Razambek Jamalov (freestyle wrestling);

Best Para-Athlete of the Year: Husnidin Norbekov (para-athletics);

Best Athlete of the Year: Hasanboy Dusmatov (boxing).
