A conference is being held on further improving the activities of information services
June 27 is the Day of Press and Mass Media Workers. In connection with this date, the Agency of Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is holding a conference on the topic "The activity of information services: openness, speed and objectivity — the main criterion" for the heads of information services of state bodies, state and economic management bodies, local self-government bodies and other Republican institutions, departments and organizations.
The purpose of the event is to summarize the results of the implementation of the Presidential Decree PP-4366 "On additional measures to ensure the independence of the media and the development of the activities of the press services of state bodies and organizations", adopted on June 27, 2019, to discuss ways to eliminate shortcomings, review successes and create effective conditions for the exchange of experience of press secretaries.
The conference, which takes place at the International Hotel Tashkent, is attended by representatives of information services of about 180 ministries and departments, state structures and khokimiyats. On behalf of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, the press secretary of the chairman of the NOC, adviser on information policy Zafar Imomkhuzhayev participates.
During the conference, participants exchange views on topical issues in this area, the presentation of information in accordance with modern requirements, the use of social networks, prompt and quick response to critical opinions. The conference is also attended by the leadership of the Information and Mass Communications Agency under the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other officials.
