The Olympic Week has started in Uzbekistan
On June 23, the International Olympic Day is widely celebrated all over the world and various mass events are held. Already today, large-scale programs within the framework of the "International Olympic Day"have begun to be held throughout Uzbekistan.
Due to the fact that the epidemiological situation associated with the coronavirus still requires vigilance, this year's holiday will be organized in a small format, but bright and colorful. The festive week will last until June 28, and during this time 15 sports federations of the country are planning to hold various mass events, interesting competitions. Early this morning, a large festive flash mob dedicated to the start of the International Olympic Day was held in the NOC. The event was attended by the leadership of the National Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, federations and associations, as well as veterans and athletes.
The speakers at the event told about the history of the birth of the International Olympic Day, its peculiar significance, about the projects implemented by the government to promote a healthy lifestyle and the idea of Olympism. Then the participants were presented with an appeal by Thomas Bach, sent to the Olympic family around the world in honor of the holiday.
At the end of the event, a large flash mob was held and all the participants took photos for memory.
