Uzbekistan can host the World Kickboxing Championship

Recently, Uzbekistan has often hosted the World Championships among adults in many sports. In the coming years, the world Kickboxing Championship may also join these tournaments.

This issue was discussed during the official meeting of the chairman of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov and the vice-president of the World Kickboxing Organization Salim Kayichi. The meeting was also attended by the chairman of the Kickboxing Federation of Uzbekistan Oibek Karmetov. During the event, issues related to the development of this sport in our country and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the federations of the two countries were also discussed.

The Chairman of the NOC told the guest of honor about the attention paid by our President to the development of the sports sphere and the popularization of a healthy lifestyle. In turn, Salim Kayichi also expressed that an international kickboxing tournament is currently being held in Tashkent and that it is organized at the highest level, and thanks to its experience, Uzbekistan can host the World Kickboxing Championship among adults. Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov approved this proposal and expressed that the NOC is ready to work together in this direction.

At the end of the event, the parties expressed that the leaders of both countries maintain friendly relations and that they are very happy to continue bilateral cooperation in the field of sports, and exchanged memorable gifts.
