The opening ceremony of the international Kurash seminar, which is being held in Tashkent for the first time, was held
For the first time, an international kurash seminar for coaches has started in Tashkent. Today, the National Olympic Committee hosted the opening ceremony of the event and a briefing for the media.
The event was attended by Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdujabbor Abduvakhidov, President of the International Kurash Association (IAC), Director of the Department of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Heydar Farman, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan Nigmatilla Yuldashev, First Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the International Kurash Institute Bahriddin Valiyev, Chairman of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov and his deputy Azizjon Kamilov, representatives of the Ica, participants of the international seminar, representatives of the general public and the media.
At the beginning of the event, Bahriddin Valiyev spoke and told about the work done for the development of the national type of wrestling — kurash, which has a long history, plans and officially declared the international seminar open. After that, Haydar Farman expressed his opinion about the event.
"I am very glad to meet you in such a modern structure as the NOC building. On behalf of the International Kurash Association, I sincerely congratulate the participants of the international seminar. Representatives of many countries of the world take part in it. Some of our plans have been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. This workshop means that we are resuming our new projects. The Government of Uzbekistan attaches great importance to the development of kurash. Together, united, we will implement all our plans, " Haydar Farman said.
Then Abdujabbor Abduvakhidov expressed his point of view regarding the organized event.
"Let me congratulate the coaches who have arrived in the capital from all over the world. I hope that our seminar will play an important role in the process of promoting kurash in all continents. We will do our best to raise our national type of wrestling to a new level. Our main goal is to see kurash in the program of the Olympic Games. Dear participants of the event, coaches, make yourself at home. I wish each of you good luck at the seminar, " said the vice — president of the ICA.
At the event, Nigmatilla Yuldashev spoke about the attention paid by the President to the development of kurash, plans for the future and events that will be implemented jointly.
Then there was a short break and a briefing for the media. Experts and officials spoke about the content and significance of the seminar, as well as plans for the future.
The seminar consists of two parts — theory and practice, 56 trainers from 24 countries of the world take part in it. Specialists from Uzbekistan, Greece and Iran will teach them the technical and tactical subtleties of kurash. Coaches who have passed the last exams successfully have a chance to receive an international certificate of category "B".
