We continue the project "They will defend the honor of the country in Tokyo". Today we will tell you about the representative of the national team of Uzbekistan in Greco-Roman wrestling — Zhalgasbai Berdimuratov.
Berdimuratov Zhalgasbai Karlibayevich was born on September 17, 1997 in Karakalpakstan. Since 2016, he has been a member of the National Team of Uzbekistan. The first and personal trainer is Rustam Ernazarov. As part of the National Team, he trains under the guidance of Ravshan Ruzikulov.
In 2016, he won the national Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship and since then he has represented the National Team of Uzbekistan. In the same year, at the Asian Youth Championship in the Philippines, he won the third place. A year later, in the same competition, he became the silver medalist.
After that, the wrestler participated in several international competitions and improved his experience. At the 2019 World Championships in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan), he performed successfully in the -77 kg weight category.
In this world championship, in addition to the bronze medal, he managed to win a license for the Tokyo Olympics.
