"Procter & Gamble" company became a new partner of NOC of Uzbekistan
The world-famous brand "Procter & Gamble" has become a new partner of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan. Today, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the two organizations.
The event was attended by the Senior Vice President of Procter & Gamble for Turkey, the Caucasus, and Central Asia, Tankut Turnaoglu, and the Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, Oybek Kasimov, as well as athletes, coaches, and officials from both organizations.
At the beginning of his speech, Tankut Turnaoglu stated that he is very pleased to support the promotion of the Olympic movement in Uzbekistan through cooperation with the NOC. He also congratulated the Uzbekistan national football team on qualifying for the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games and noted that the company intends to participate in larger sports projects in the future.
In turn, the Secretary General of the NOC emphasized the success of our football and hockey teams, which is a vivid example of raising team sports to a new level in Uzbekistan. In addition, he noted that thanks to the support of our esteemed President, extensive preparations are underway for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games. In conclusion of his speech, Oybek Kasimov expressed that P&G is one of the main partners of the International Olympic Committee, and this fact played an important role in the signing of bilateral cooperation.
For reference, Procter & Gamble was founded in 1837. The corporation encompasses about 40 well-known brands of personal hygiene products. Since 2010, P&G has been one of the partners of the IOC in promoting the ideals of Olympism worldwide. According to the memorandum, the organization will also contribute to the development of the Olympic movement in our country.
