We continue the project "They will defend the honor of the country in Tokyo". Today we will tell you about the representative of the Uzbek national boxing team Sanzhar Tursunov.
Sanzhar Shokirzhonovich Tursunov was born on August 18, 1998 in Surkhandarya region. A pupil of the Chirchik boxing school. The coach is Tulkin Kilichev.
Sanjar was born in a family of athletes. His brother Suhrob Tursunov is a representative of the Uzbek national judo team, has achieved many successes at international competitions. And Sanjar himself chose boxing and won many victories.
In 2017, at the age of 19, thanks to his participation in the Asian Championship in Tashkent, he was awarded the opportunity to perform at the World Championship. In the World Championship in Hamburg, he managed to win bronze.
Since 2018, he began to participate in professional boxing. So far, I have held 3 fights and won all of them.
In the 2019 continental Championship in Bangkok, he became a silver medalist, and at the 2021 Asian Championship in Dubai, he was awarded bronze.
Thanks to participation in the licensing tournament for the continents of Asia-Oceania in 2020, he won the Tokyo 2020 license.
