On the first day of the licensed Asian Championship, our girls won gold medals
The licensed Asian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship has started in the capital. Today, the opening ceremony and the final in the exercises with a hoop and a ball in the individual program took place at the Gymnastics Palace.
The event was attended by the chairman of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports Avaz Karimov, Acting Chairman of the Gymnastics Federation of Uzbekistan Ruslan Mustayev. After the colorful concert program was completed, the championship was officially opened. The officials who spoke particularly noted the attention paid by the government to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and mass sports in the country.
Then the final took place in the exercises with a hoop and a ball in the individual program. The hosts of the competition were in the lead in both finals. At first, Takhmina Ikromova worked out her program with a hoop cleanly and rose to the highest step of the podium. Ekaterina Fetisova also won a gold medal in the ball exercise.
It should be noted that within the framework of the competition, Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov and his deputy Sherzod Tashmatov, as well as Avaz Karimov, Ruslan Mustayev and other responsible persons held a meeting on the preparation for Tokyo 2020 and the popularization of rhythmic gymnastics in the country.
