Gulomjon Abdullayev was born in 1998 in Khorezm. Performs in the weight category -57 kg. The coach is Bakhtiyor Sobirov.
The wrestler achieved his greatest success on the world stage in 2016, at the age of 18. Then he took part in the World Championship in the U20 age category and won a bronze medal. Also, he has risen to the podium of prestigious international tournaments several times. He is the Asian youth champion.
The wrestler was in the youth team in 2016, in 2018 he moved to the main team. It should be noted that in order to become the leader of the country in this weight category, he had to pass a kind of mini-tournament. In his weight category there were such talented and experienced wrestlers as Mahmud Shavkatov, Nodirjon Safarov, Umid Zhalolov. After much thought, the coaches chose Abdullayev's candidacy in this weight class and their decision justified itself. In April of this year, Gulomjon Abdullayev won a ticket to the Tokyo Olympics at a licensed tournament in Kazakhstan.
