Hangzhou-2022, Paris-2024: plans for training badminton players were discussed

The heads of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan continue to consider plans for the preparation of federations and associations in Olympic sports for the Asian Games Hangzhou-2022 and the Olympic Games Paris-2024. Today, the chairman of the NOC, Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, reviewed the preparation plans of the Badminton Federation of Uzbekistan. The head of the NOC was met by the General Secretary of the Federation Onazhon Zhumaniyazova. Three coaches and representatives of the NOC were also present during the conversation.

During the meeting, Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov gave his recommendations on strengthening the promotion of a healthy lifestyle in the country on the example of badminton, improving the experience and qualifications of badminton players. In this regard, it was noted that it is necessary to organize international competitions and training camps for our badminton players, to develop a detailed plan on this basis, and that such initiatives aimed at improving achievements in professional sports are fully supported by our government.

In addition, the leadership of the federation was instructed to finalize the preparation plans for the Asian and Olympic Games, to strengthen the material and technical base of the national teams. In turn, the shortcomings and problems raised by the coaches were heard, and opinions were expressed on how to solve them.
