A big gift is being prepared for the youth of the Tashkent region on the eve of the 30th anniversary of Independence of Uzbekistan
The working group headed by the first deputy chairman of the NOC, First Vice-President of the AFU Ravshan Irmatov met with the khokim of the Tashkent region, the head of the football association of the region Davron Hidoyatov. During the meeting, a number of promising plans were discussed to strengthen the popularization of mass sports in the region in order to further increase the interest of young people in sports. During the meeting, it was noted that the region has great potential both in football and in other sports in general.
One of the topics discussed at the meeting was the consideration of issues of preparation for the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Tashkent region. An agreement was reached to hold a mini-Olympiad in 30 sports in the Tashkent region, dedicated to our biggest and most expensive holiday. A special working group will be created between the parties to organize the competitions, and work in this direction will begin in the near future. It should be noted that this project will be an unforgettable event for young athletes of the region.
The meeting also discussed a number of plans for the further development of game sports and martial arts in the Tashkent region, improving the activities of the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports, the Chirchik Olympic Reserve College and schools of Higher sports skills in football. In addition, it was noted that cooperation will be established to provide comprehensive support to regional athletes preparing for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, to monitor their social status.
