NOC leaders met with athletes
As we previously reported, the international memory tournament in athletics ended yesterday in the capital. After the competition, the chairman of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov and his first deputy Ravshan Irmatov met with the athletes. The meeting was held on the basis of the Athletics Federation of Uzbekistan. The event was also attended by the chairman of the federation Andrey Abduvaliev, the master of sports of international class, who performs in the direction of the triple jump Ruslan Kurbanov and Zhavokhir Noriev (long jump).
During the conversation, the NOC leaders asked about the condition, mood, family and social status of athletes who are applying for licenses for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, and also asked about their plans for the future.
It should be noted that so far none of these two athletes have been able to meet the Tokyo 2020 standard, which is much higher. However, due to the fact that their results are close to the standard, it is likely that they will enter the license zone through the rating. The officials discussed in detail what competitions they will take part in before the end of the Olympic cycle, as well as training plans. In conclusion, the NOC leadership stated that our government fully supports our athletes, and wished them success in the future.
