An international athletics competition is being held in the capital
Today, the international tournament in memory of Gennady Arzumanov has started on the basis of the Athletics Federation of Uzbekistan. It is noteworthy that the participants of the competition have a chance to win a ticket to Tokyo 2020 by meeting the Olympic standard. The competition is also watched by the leadership of the NOC.
In addition to athletes from Uzbekistan, athletes from Kazakhstan and Tajikistan also take part in the tournament. Today, in the first half of the day, the qualifying stage was held, and also, in the javelin throwing sector, the final was held. The winners were our compatriots Musharraf Saidakhmedova (51.54 m) and Zhurabek Kazakov (64.09 m).
Today, Daria Reznichenko will perform in the evening long jump program, and Nadia Dusanova will perform in the high jump.
