Let's get acquainted with the activities of Bahodir Zhalolov
The next hero of the project "They will defend the honor of the country in Tokyo" is the star of the Uzbek national boxing team, Bahodir Zhalolov.
Bahodir Zhalolov was born on July 8, 1994 from Surkhandarya region. He was taught the secrets of boxing by Tulkin Kilichev at the Chirchik Olympic Reserve College.
In 2013, he won the championship of Uzbekistan among adults in the weight category +91 kg and since that year he has been a representative of the national team of Uzbekistan.
His first major competition is the 2015 World Championships, where he was awarded bronze.
At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, he reached the quarterfinals. It should be noted that at the opening ceremony of these Games, Bahodir Zhalolov was the flag bearer of the delegation of Uzbekistan.
At the Asian Championships in 2017 and 2019, he became the champion.
Since 2018, he began to perform in professional boxing. He performs under the pseudonym "Big Uzbek" and has held 8 fights so far. It is noteworthy that in all these fights Zhalolov won by knockout.
The 2019 World Cup in Russia was one of the brightest and most memorable competitions in his career. In this world championship, Bahodir managed to win the title of champion, and also, he became the best boxer of the championship. After Yekaterinburg, Zhalolov was awarded the honorary title "Uzbekistan Iftikhori".
Thanks to his successful participation in the licensed tournament, which was held in 2020 in Jordan, he won a ticket to Tokyo 2020. Currently, together with the national team, he is working hard to prepare for the upcoming Olympic Games.
