The Chairman of the NOC visited the training camps of boxers and fencers
In order to fulfill the President's instructions, the leadership of the NOC visits the training bases of our national teams and gets acquainted with the conditions created for our athletes. Today, the chairman of the NOC, Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, visited the sports bases "Yangiabad" and "Dukent", which are located in the Tashkent region. In these bases, teams preparing for the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games conduct training camps.
First, the head of the NOC at the Yangiabad base talked with the boxers. The meeting was attended by licensees of Tokyo 2020 and their coaches, representatives of the federation. During the conversation, Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov emphasized that our esteemed President fully supports the preparation for the Olympic Games and that he expects high results from boxers. Also, Shaabdurakhmanov spoke about the essence of the Presidential Decree, which is aimed at the development of boxing in our country. At the meeting, the head of the NOC had a separate conversation with each boxer, asked about their family and social status, health, plans for the future. In turn, during the event, the Secretary General of the federation Murod Mamadaliyev, the head coach of the national team Marat Kurbanov and the doctor Dilshod Kazakov gave information about the health and physical condition of the athletes.
As we reported earlier, this base hosts an international training camp with the participation of boxers from the national teams of Algeria, Iran, Azerbaijan and Jordan. After the conversation, Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov watched the boxers ' training sessions.
Then the chairman of the Committee visited the Dukent base, where the national fencing team of Uzbekistan is engaged. Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov also had a conversation with the licensees, as well as with their coaches and other representatives of the national team.
It should be noted that for the first time our fencers managed to win 3 licenses for the Olympics, which is a historic result for our country. During the meeting, the head of the NOC emphasized that all the necessary conditions will be created for the national team and that the government personally supports their preparation.
