NOC Secretary General Oybek Kassymov got acquainted with the conditions created at the rowing base

At a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the National Olympic Committee, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave several instructions on strengthening preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. In these instructions, it was particularly noted to create all the necessary conditions for our athletes, to study their social situation. In this regard, the NOC management has started implementing the plan and once again considers the created conditions for athletes at the bases. Today, the General Secretary of the NOC Oybek Kassymov visited the ROWING&CANOE Federation of Uzbekistan sports base.

So far, the athletes of this federation have managed to win 2 licenses for the Olympic and 3 for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. During his visit, the Secretary General of the NOC held a conversation with licensees and asked how satisfied they were with the conditions created, as well as whether there were any problems and shortcomings.

"Now is a very important period of time. The Head of State personally takes care of you and controls the conditions created for you so that you can take part in the Olympics with dignity. We are your assistants. I would ask you to speak immediately if something bothers you or there are any shortcomings. Thanks to the support of our government, we will solve all the problems," Oybek Kassymov said.

Since representatives of the main team are currently taking part in licensing competitions in Tokyo and Pattaya, members of the youth team, the reserve team and licensees of Tokyo 2020 are at the base. During the inspection of the created conditions, some problems were identified about the communal system and the daily diet. In turn, Oybek Kassymov gave strict instructions to review the nutrition of athletes and enrich the menu with high-calorie dishes, solve existing problems and increase the spirituality and culture of athletes.
