Tokyo-2020: vaccination of representatives of the delegation of Uzbekistan has begun

Today, the process of vaccination of representatives of the delegation of Uzbekistan who will take part in the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 has begun. Para-swimmers were the first to receive the vaccine.

The event was held at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Sports Medicine at the NOC. The event was attended by NOC Chairman Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov and his first deputy Ravshan Irmatov, Chairman of the National Paralympic Association of Uzbekistan Mukhtorkhon Toshkhuzhayev, representatives of the para-swimming team and the media.

 

First, 11 para-swimmers passed blood tests, specialists examined the readiness of their bodies to take the vaccine. According to the results of the tests, three para-athletes and two coaches received drugs. It should be noted that coach Ravshan Alimov was the first to take the vaccine. In turn, the para-athletes expressed gratitude for the fact that our government and the Head of State personally take care of the health of athletes.

 

It should be noted that in the process of vaccination of representatives of the delegation, the drug "Sputnik V"is used. According to the instructions, it should be taken within 21 days in 2 components.

The vaccination process of the delegation's representatives will last until June 1, and the last members of the boxing team will receive the drug. In total, 250 representatives will be vaccinated.

 

Then the leadership of the NOC held a conversation with doctors of sports federations about preparing for the vaccination process and paying even more attention to the health of athletes.
