The tasks are defined according to the instructions of the President
As you know, recently the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan were at a reception with the President and held a presentation on preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Currently, the national team of Uzbekistan has 41 licenses for the Olympic and 16 for the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. In the near future, it is planned to win 32 more licenses for the Olympics and 30 for the Paralympics. The preparation for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo was not considered satisfactory and the Head of State criticized the current situation. Today, the National Olympic Committee held a meeting on the instructions and instructions given by the Head of State. The event was attended by the chairman of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov and his first deputy Ravshan Irmatov, the Secretary General of the Committee Oibek Kassymov, the Deputy Chairman of the NOC Sherzod Tashmatov, the heads of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Sports Medicine at the NOC and federations and associations for Olympic sports.
The meeting was held by the head of the NOC and outlined the conclusions that emerged after the meeting with the President.
"There is very little time left before the start of the Tokyo Olympics. The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan is fully aware of its responsibility to our state, government and people and has already reviewed the preparations for the Tokyo Olympics, plans to increase the number of licenses and will do everything possible to improve the results. In this regard, we ask the leadership of the federation and associations to properly organize their work, discuss plans, coordinate, take the necessary measures and unconditionally ensure the implementation of orders and decisions. On this occasion, the National Olympic Committee has developed an action plan for preparing for the Tokyo Olympic Games. This plan includes a more professional approach to the work of the heads of the NOC and the RNCSM, as well as the operational headquarters, federations and associations, an in — depth study of existing problems and their operational solution, a more detailed review of the preparation plans for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo," said Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov.
Then Ravshan Irmatov spoke, noting that at present, responsibility and efficiency are required from us.
"Despite the fact that the Head of State has a very tight schedule, he gave us time and accepted. During the conversation, the President noted that we need to please the people with our victories at the Olympic Games. We, the responsible persons, immediately drew the appropriate conclusions for ourselves and discussed the tasks based on the instructions of the President, having completely revised our plans," the first deputy chairman of the NOC said.
According to the plan, the federations that have licenses for the Olympic Games will be distributed among the leadership of the NOC, and officials will personally monitor the preparation of national teams for the competitions that are assigned to them.
During the event, Deputy Chairman of the NOC Sherzod Tashmatov and Director of the RNCSM at the NOC Abdushukur Sadikov also spoke about the training of athletes, their health and the beginning of the process of vaccination of athletes. According to officials, the process of vaccination of our athletes against coronavirus will officially begin tomorrow at the RNCSM.
During the event, officials of sports federations and associations also spoke and noted that they will definitely fulfill their assignments and tasks, and will also work closely with the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports to achieve one goal — to raise the image of Uzbekistan on the world stage.
At the end of the meeting, the chairman of the NOC expressed his opinion on the vaccination of athletes:
"We express our great gratitude to our Esteemed President for taking care of the health of the country's population. Don't panic. If we do everything in order, we will definitely achieve the goal. The main thing is that the state supports us. We are responsible for the health of athletes, they are our support and the golden generation. If necessary, every week, every day, we will check the health of athletes and monitor them."
The Chairman of the NOC stressed that the head of the RNPCSM is personally responsible for the health of athletes. In addition, the officials specified in the action plan for preparing for the Olympics were told to perform their duties professionally, take responsibility for their work, perform tasks and were given additional instructions to improve the efficiency of work.
