Our athletes took part in an international tournament in Turkey
On May 2, the international competition "Olympic Deneme Yarişma" ended in the city of Mersin (Turkey), in which our athletes also took part.
Ekaterina Voronina showed the best results in all types of the second day of the heptathlon, becoming the winner with a total of 6,153 points and equaled the result of the leader of the current season of the Asian continent, Chinese Nina Schultz, who has the same amount of points shown in Xi'an on April 28.
Safina Sadullayeva won the high jump with a score of 1.90. This is her fifth start since the window for meeting the Olympic standards for participation in Tokyo 2020 opened on December 1, and now Safina will occupy a certain place in the ranking, which is formed by the average number of points among the top five results of an athlete. The current rating of athletes is updated every Wednesday, next Thursday we will find out where Safina Sadullayeva will be among the best athletes in the world.
Daria Reznichenko won the long jump with a score of 6.58. This is Daria's best result this year and the second result of the current Asian season, second only to the Chinese athlete Sumira Hata, who showed 6.65 at the competitions in the Japanese city of Kobe on April 25.
