Saken Polatov-Vice-President of the Asian Boxing Confederation
Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, first deputy head of the country's boxing federation, member of the Executive Committee of the Asian Boxing Confederation, head of the Boxing Development Support Fund in Asia Saken Polatov was elected to the post of vice-President of the Asian Boxing Confederation. This was officially announced by the press service of the organization.
The first deputy head of the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan, Saken Polatov, won by a large margin at a meeting of the members of the Executive Committee of the Asian Boxing Confederation and was elected to the post of vice-president of the organization. Starting today, Mr. Saken Polatov is the vice-president of the Asian Boxing Confederation.
In April 2019, during the ASBC General Assembly in Bangkok, Saken Polatov became a member of the Executive Committee of the organization.
Since December 2020, he has been heading the Foundation for supporting the development of boxing in Asia. The foundation was founded by ASBC President Anas Alotaiba to promote boxing in Asia and achieve success in the future. The Foundation held its first meeting at the Hilton Hotel after the end of the boxing evening, which was held in April in Tashkent.
In terms of strategic thinking and attitude to work, Saken Polatov is a like-minded person of the head of the Asian Boxing Confederation Anas Alotaiba.
According to the head of the Boxing Development Support Fund in Asia, Saken Polatov, constant monitoring, feedback and control of the system are the most important factors in the organization of work.
Saken Polatov has a great team at the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan. In particular, such specialists as Shohid Tillaboev, Malik Babayev, Murojon Mamadaliyev and Tamila Sarikhanova are highly qualified in their areas.
The Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan at the World Youth Championship in Kielce (Poland) set a fantastic result and won three gold medals. There is also a girl among the gold medalists. Nigina Uktamova, Shahzod Muzaffarov and Zhakhongir Zokirov won the World Youth Championship.
Also, the national boxing team of Uzbekistan won 4 gold medals at the "Governor's Cup" in St. Petersburg. They are currently preparing for the Asian Championship, which starts on May 21 in Dubai.
