The Uzbek authorities have requested up to $ 1 billion from the ADB to support the budget. This was reported in the Ministry of Investment.
The funds were requested due to the coronavirus pandemic. Today, on April 1, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investment held talks with the President of the ADB. The negotiations were held online.
Sardor Umurzakov asked Masatsugu Asakawa to support Uzbekistan. Asakawa noted that every effort will be made to accelerate the allocation of funds. It is worth noting that the ADB has already approved the allocation of 200 thousand dollars for the purchase of medical equipment.
