The Tashkent-2025 project is in the focus of attention of the General Assembly of the OCA
The 40th Anniversary General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has started in Dubai today. As we reported earlier, it was attended by Vice-President of the organization Otabek Umarov, Secretary General of the NOC of Uzbekistan, Head of the Directorate of the Asian Youth Games "Tashkent-2025" Oybek Kasimov and Deputy Chairman of the Committee Azizjon Kamilov.
During the Assembly, Otabek Umarov spoke about the development of a new Uzbekistan being built under the leadership of the President, the attention paid to physical culture and sports, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among the population.
Also, according to the rules of the event, the speakers presented their presentations on the preparation for major complex competitions that are expected on our continent in the near future. Among them, the presentation prepared by the delegation of our country on the organization of the IV Asian Youth Games "Tashkent-2025" was the focus of attention of many. Before the presentation, general information about Uzbekistan was demonstrated, as well as a special video that reflects its athletic power. Recall that for the first time after these competitions among young people, competitions among paraathletes will be held. It is worth noting that a large number of sports are planned to be included in the program of the sports festival, which will be held in Tashkent, as never before. In his presentation, Oybek Kasimov informed in detail about the organization of the upcoming important continental launches.
During the event, representatives of the OCA shared plans for wider promotion of the ideas of Olympism on the continent, reports of the chairmen of the Standing Committees of the OCA were also listened to. In addition, the report of the Organizing Committee of the 19th Asian Games, which will be hosted by Hangzhou next year, was listened to. The report of the continental indoor and martial arts competitions, which will be held in the Thai cities of Bangkok and Chonburi, was also presented.
Another important aspect of today's OCA General Assembly was the determination of the venue for the 5th Asian Youth Games. Cambodia was selected as the host country of these prestigious starts.
