Brilliant performance of Russian fencers at the World Cup
The drawing of the Fencing World Youth Cup has ended in our capital. In competitions among girls there were no equals to domestic athletes.
First, our fencers defeated the Egyptian national team with a score of 45:21, in the semifinals they won the opponents from Bulgaria with a score of 45:36. In the final, as expected, the teams of Uzbekistan and Russia met. In a tense and uncompromising confrontation, our girls won with a score of 45:36 and won gold medals.
Recall that on the eve of the singles Zainab Alibekova defeated all her rivals and rose to the highest step of the podium. Zainab Alibekova, Gulistan Perdibayeva, Samira Shokan and Venera Isroilova represented our country in the team program today.
