The best in various IJF nominations were determined

The International Judo Federation has published the results of 2021. It determined the winners in various categories.

Judoists who were nominated for the best athlete of the year, both among men and women, were in the center of attention of many. As a result, Georgian Lash Shavdatuashvili was awarded among men, who this year became the world champion and silver medalist of Tokyo 2020, and in the women's part the reigning European champion, the best judoka in her Tokyo 2020 weight category, Ilya Krasnichi, won. This year, our compatriot Diera Keldierova was among the candidates for the title of "Rising Star". However, the victory went to another Georgian athlete.

Moment of the year: Japanese Sara Asahina, who won the final of the World Championship in the weight category +78 kg, who brought an injured compatriot out of the tatami on her shoulders
Rising Star: Ilia Sulamanidze (Georgia)
Best Coach: Driton Kuka (Kosovo)
Judo for Peace: a duel between Tahani al-Qahtani (Saudi Arabia) and Raz Hershko (Israel) in the +78 kg weight category at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games

Hero of society: Sabrina Filzmoser (Austria)
