A festive event was held in the NOC under the motto "Sacred Flag of the Motherland"
Today, on November 18, a festive event was held in the National Assembly of Uzbekistan under the motto “Sacred Flag of the Motherland”, dedicated to the day of adoption of the National Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It was attended by Chairman of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, Secretary General of the Committee Oybek Kasimov, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Sports of Uzbekistan Bahodir Mahsitov, as well as employees of the NOC and the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Sports Medicine under the Committee.
The event was opened by Bahodir Mahsitov and told about the role of the flag in the development of our Motherland. After that, the NOC press service showed a special video prepared in connection with today's date. Our famous athletes took part in this video. During the event, the staff of the Committee and the Medical Center performed poems about the symbols of our state.
The head of the NOC shared his thoughts at the end of the event.
"Our flag is a symbol of our Motherland, our state. Our athletes are among the first to make our flag world-famous. We can say that thanks to the victories of our athletes, the whole world has recognized our sacred flag. Behind this, of course, is the support of the President, as well as the recognition of sports and a healthy lifestyle as one of the most important tasks of the state.", - said Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov.
At the end of the event, the head of the NOC thanked all the participants and expressed his sincere wishes on the occasion of this date.
