As it turned out, today in the capital, the World Championship among adults in weightlifting began. At the same time, the opening ceremony of the competition was held.

At the beginning of the ceremony, a video about the high attention paid to sports by the president and the government was presented to the guests. After that, various artistic performances staged were brought to the attention of the audience. In particular, the artist Shukurullo Israrilov, people's artist of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan Jenisbek Piyazov, who served in Uzbekistan, shared a high mood with the participants of the performance with the participation of" Sitora " group.

According to official data, about 500 athletes from about 90 countries take part in this world championship. After that, Aziz Abduhakimov officially declared the competition open and the national anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was sounded.
