Ruslan Musayev was elected Consul of the International Gymnastics Federation
The 83rd Congress of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) was held in the Turkish city of Antalya. It held elections to the leadership of the organization, various governing bodies, the technical committee and a number of other places. During the main part of the event, representatives of the national federations belonging to FIG also elected a new head of the organization, 3 deputies and 7 members of the executive committee.
When selecting representatives for high positions in the International Federation, the candidates' work experience and their contribution to the development of world gymnastics were taken into account. The merits of the Gymnastics Federation of Uzbekistan (UGF) in this direction were highly appreciated, Vice-President of the Asian Gymnastics Union, First Deputy Chairman of UGF Ruslan Mustayev was elected to the consulate of the International Federation. Thus, Ruslan Mustayev was expressed great confidence that he would represent the interests of the Gymnastics Federation of Uzbekistan and the entire Asian Gymnastics Union in the international arena.
It is worth noting that the current head of the International Organization, Morinari Watanabe, won the elections and became president of FIG for a new term.
The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan congratulates Ruslan Mustayev on his election to a new position and wishes him success in improving the image of our country in the international arena, as well as in strengthening the development of this sport.
