For the first time in history, our judo team is leading in the team competition at the World Championship

The Uzbek national judo team successfully performs at the World Championship among military personnel taking place in Paris, the capital of France.

Our martial artists under the leadership of Ulugbek Azimov and Tahir Fayziev won 4 gold and 1 bronze medals and took first place in the team competition. Diera Keldierova (-52 kg), Dilshodjon Baratov (-60 kg), Davlet Babanov (-90 kg) and Muzaffarbek Turabayev (-100 kg) became world champions, and Shorukh Bakhtiyorov (+100 kg) won the bronze award.

The second place was taken by Brazilian judoists with 3 gold, 4 silver, 4 bronze medals, the three winners were closed by the hosts of the tatami - the French national team with 3 gold, 3 silver, 4 bronze awards. Austria won 2 gold medals, and representatives of Russia and Slovakia - 1 gold each.

Now our martial artists will fight for gold medals in the team performance. We wish our judoists good luck in the upcoming competitions.
