Akhrolzhan Ruziev was elected Vice-President of UWW for another five years
The United World Wrestling Congress (UWW) was held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, before the World Youth Championship.
An important moment of the congress for us is that the Deputy chairman of the Wrestling Association of Uzbekistan, Professor Akhroljon Ruziev, was elected a member of the UWW Bureau for a new 5-year term.
Fuad Masku (Morocco), Mikhail Mamiashvili (Russia), Don Ryan (Canada), Pedro Gama Filho (Brazil), Lucho Kaneva (Italy) were also elected members of the UVW Bureau.
The current head of the organization, Nenad Lalovich, will also be president of the UWW for another 5 years.
For information, Akhrolzhan Ruziev has held the position of Vice-President of UWW from 2014 to the present. It was at the congress in Tashkent in 2014 that the name of FILA was changed to UWW. In this regard, the Tashkent Congress is historic.
