World Judo Day has become a real holiday for our young wrestlers
As we have already reported, a number of events were held in connection with today's World Judo Day. The main one was the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan Oybek Kasimov, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of Sports of Uzbekistan Bahodir Mahsitov, holder of the honorary title "Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan" Vladimir Pyataev, head coach of the national team Ilias Iliadis and others.
"Today, as well as all over the world, the "International Judo Day" is widely celebrated in our country. We are also happy to contribute to this event. Taking this opportunity, I congratulate the family of the Uzbek judoka on this day. In the near future, you, like your fellow judoists, will worthily defend the honor of our Motherland at international competitions and continue the glorious traditions of Uzbek judo. In turn, I would like to thank our esteemed President for creating conditions for our athletes to practice in such modern gyms," said the Secretary General of the NOC O.Kasimov.
After that, young judoists under the leadership of Kamol Muradov and Ulmas Guliyev showed their skills and talent on the tatami. Speaking on behalf of veterans, Vladimir Pyataev urged young judoists to follow in the footsteps of their brothers and become a worthy successor for them.
After that, the honored guests and young judoists were awarded with memorable gifts. At the end of the ceremony, according to tradition, the birthday cake was cut and presented to the guests. All participants were photographed for memory.
The representatives present in Navoi region, headed by the deputy chairman of the NOC, Chairman of the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan Azizjon Kamilov and the governor of the region Kabil Tursunov also met this holiday in a special way.
At the event held with the young judoists of Navoi, the responsible persons told about the attention paid to sports by our state, about the outstanding athletes who open up as a result of this, and gave great motivation to our youth. On the spot, they congratulated the young wrestlers on the holiday and wished them good luck in their future activities.
