The delegation that took part in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo has only now returned home
The Cook Islands delegation that took part in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games has now returned home due to the route that passed through New Zealand and the quarantine requirements on it.
The Cook Islands delegation headed by the head of the National Olympic Committee Hugh Graham went to Japan 13 weeks ago. On the way back, they chose a transit route to New Zealand. But as soon as this route got into a strong knockdown, everyone there was quarantined. Therefore, the head of the delegation and 6 athletes who participated in the Olympics did not return home for a long time. Finally they returned to their homeland.
