Shavkat Mirziyoyev: "For the first time in our new history, the World Weightlifting Championship will be hosted by the city of Tashkent"
The candidate for President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a meeting with the voters of the city of Tashkent officially noted that in December of this year our capital will host the World Weightlifting Championship for the first time.
"Continuing the work we started on hosting the Asian and World Championships, an Olympic Town will be built in Tashkent until 2024. Next year, a modern ice palace for 2.5 thousand spectators will be commissioned in Shaikhantakhur. In order to create conditions for regular sports for young people, a universal sports complex for 2.5 thousand seats will be built in the Yangihayat district. For the first time in recent history, the World Weightlifting Championships will be held in Tashkent this December. In 2022, the World Judo Championships will be held in our capital, in 2023 - in boxing, in 2025 -the Asian Youth Games”" Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
