Uzbekistan national sambo team has set a historic result at the World Championship
Uzbek sambo wrestlers became the second at the World Junior and Youth Championships in Thessaloniki. The Russian national team took first place, and the Ukrainian national team finished in the top three.
It should be noted that Uzbek sambo wrestlers for the first time took second place in the team competition at the World Championship. Previously, the best result of our sambo wrestlers at such a World Championship was third place.
Recall that according to the results of the World Championship, Uzbek sambo wrestlers won 6 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze, a total of 17 medals.
The National Olympic Committee congratulates our sambo wrestlers, their coaches, as well as the leadership of the Sambo Association of Uzbekistan on this success.
