It is proposed to involve a foreign specialist in the preparation process for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games
The Tokyo 2020 Games have left warm memories in the memory of our Paralympians. This time we managed to increase the number of licenses won and expand the geography of sports. At today's meeting in the NOC, the issue of careful preparation of para-athletes for the Hangzhou-2022 Para-Asian Games and the Paris-2024 Paralympics was discussed.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov and his deputy Sherzod Tashmatov, representatives of the Committee, responsible persons of the National Paralympic Committee headed by Mukhtorkhon Taskhodzhayev.
As you know, at the Tokyo 2020 Games, our representatives took part in 8 directions. To date, there are more than 20 sports in the system of the Paralympic Committee and the coverage of training has increased markedly.
"The Paralympic Games prove the willpower and courage of people with disabilities. In particular, the para-athletes of Uzbekistan demonstrated their skills. But we need to move forward and not stop there. It would be good to attract a foreign specialist, especially in those sports in which the largest number of licenses and medals are awarded. The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan is ready to work together in this direction," the chairman of the NOC said.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the selection of main and reserve athletes, the development of a strategy for the organization of training camps for the new cycle, wider involvement of our compatriots with disabilities in sports.
