"Tashkent tiger" Rufat Riskiev is 72 years old!
Today, the legend of Uzbek and world boxing, known as the "Tashkent Tiger" Rufat Riskiev turned 72 years old.
Riskiev Rufat Asadovich was born in 1949 on October 2 in the city of Akkurgan, Tashkent region. In 1974, he became the first Uzbek boxer to win the World Championship. He was also a finalist at the 1976 Olympic Games. Starting from 2019, the prize of Rufat Riskiev is awarded to the best boxer of the championship of Uzbekistan.
Rufat Asadovich is one of the founders of the Uzbek boxing school. The merits of this specialist are also great in the success of our boxers. His long-term work was worthily appreciated by the state, in particular, last year, by Presidential Decree, he was awarded the Order "Dustlik".
