Our fencers have won two medals at the international tournament
International foil fencing competitions have started in Tashkent today. This tournament, included in the calendar of the International Fencing Federation (FIE), is held by rapier.
The grand opening of the competition took place today. It was attended by the Chairman of the NOC and the Fencing Federation of Uzbekistan Rustam Shoabdurakhmanov, observers from the International Fencing Federation, athletes and coaches.
Experienced rapiers from the USA, Turkey, Iraq, the Philippines, Italy, Bolivia, Iran, Kazakhstan, and Belarus compete at the competitions.
According to the regulations, the winners and prize-winners among men were determined today. The first place went to the American Ethan Gastner. Our compatriots Muhammad Yusuf Asranov and Akhmadillokhon Solihohiyev won bronze medals.
