Signed a memorandum of cooperation between the rugby federations of Uzbekistan and the UAE
The Asian Rugby-7 Championship among girls under 18 starts tomorrow in Tashkent. Today, before the start of the competition, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the rugby federations of Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates, designed to bring cooperation to a new level.
The event was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Rugby Federation of Uzbekistan Sadik Safoev, Chairman of the Committee Rustam Shoabdurakhmanov, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports Avaz Karimov, Secretary General of the NOC Oybek Kasimov, President of the UAE Rugby Federation Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Juma al Maktoum, President of the Asian Rugby Federation, Vice President of the UAE Rugby Federation Qais Abdullah Al Dhalai.
First, the parties took part in a meeting devoted to issues of interaction in a narrow circle.
“First of all, we are very glad to see you in our country. Dear President of our country pays special attention to the development of physical culture and sports, a healthy lifestyle in our country. Our athletes took the 32nd place in the team competition at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the 16th place at the Paralympic Games. We cooperate with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports to develop a healthy lifestyle and professional sports in our country. Our plans, of course, include the further development of rugby in our country, " the head of the NOC said.
During the conversation, such long-term plans as the development of friendly relations between the two countries in the field of sports, bringing it to a new level were also discussed.
After the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation between the two countries was signed in the conference hall of the NOC.
"Together we have established cooperation in order to implement grandiose plans. It is very important that we exchange experience on the path of development. We are glad that we are establishing such cooperation together. We are sure that both sides, whose religion and culture are intertwined, are interested and happy about this, " Sadik Safoev said.
At the end of the event, Mr. Al Maktoum emphasized that he was pleased with this cooperation and that his first visit to our country made a warm impression on him.
