Today, the Uzbek national wrestling celebrates its holiday all over the world. If for several years this date was celebrated as an unofficial holiday, then in 2017 it was officially recognized as " September 6-the day of the national wrestling sport”, in connection with which the corresponding Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was signed.
To date, national federations have been established in more than 130 countries around the world. In turn, our national sport is increasingly taking an important place in the program of large complex competitions. In particular, in 2017 at the Asian Martial Arts and Indoor Games in Turkmenistan, in 2018 at the Asian Games in Indonesia, competitions in this sport were held. Our main goal on this path is undoubtedly the inclusion of Uzbek national wrestling in the program of the Olympic Games.
