Shirin Sharipov was unable to compete for bronze due to disqualification
Our compatriot Shirin Sharipov (+100 kg) had to compete for bronze with a para-judoka from Azerbaijan — Ilham Zakiyev.
According to the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan, at the previous fight Sharipov used a prohibited technique against his opponent and was disqualified by the decision of the judges. Thus, the bronze medal was won by a para-judoka from Azerbaijan.
